I am having a problem with the Finder quiting/crashing. Sometimes it just quits and redraws, sometimes it freezes. Changes to the desktop and folders are lost after one of these episodes. What should I be looking for that might cause this? It doesn't seem to matter what drive I start from or what system I am using. I have done fresh installs of OS 8.1 and 8.5. Could a pram battery do this?
