If you only have 2 MB of RAM, doesn't that mean that you don't have
the Postscript SIMM installed? I thought the Postscript SIMM, in
addition to adding Postscript took the printer up to 4 MB.

According to info, the printer should have had both the PS SIMM *and* the RAM SIMM, but both were missing.

I got the PS SIMM off of eBay, but I didn't know that the RAM SIMM was
also required.

With just the PS SIMM installed, the printer has only that which is on
the mobo, which is 2 MB.

My (wetware) memory said that the postscript SIMM included 2 MB of RAM as well as the postscript ROM on the same SIMM, but as I wrote in my earlier message, it has been some years since I dealt with the LJ4M. So, perhaps the case was that they shipped the 4M with a Postscript SIMM and a separate 2 MB SIMM and that mutated in my memory. I'm reasonably certain that the LJ4M shipped with Postscript and 4 MB of RAM total, but not 100% certain.
