I have a 7600/200, OS 9.1 and I want to installed a second hard drive in the
vacant bay. The 7600 has the connections all ready to install and a slide to
secure the hard drive. But there must be more to it for I cannot get it to
work. It will try to open, but most of the time give me the ? mark.
Disconnecting
the extra drive and it works fine. What do I need to do to get the second
drive recognized. Both drives are SCSI. The second drive was pulled
from a 7300
and was working. If the answer is simple and I should have known just think of
me as an old man not used to the esoteric world of computing (an you would be
right)

Sounds like a SCSI ID No. Conflict. Change the ID on the second drive to 1, 2, 4, 0r 6 and it should work.
