1. Reader Rabbit Toddler kids game locks up. This seems to be happening one in every 3 or 4 times we run the application. I can't find the system requirements for this app on the web but I think my 5400/180 with 80mb RAM should be enough. So, is there anything I can do to limit system freezes? Can I prevent some of the things that load on startup? For example, I see some QuickTime and MPEG icons at the bottom of the screen at start-up. Are these Extensions? Can I disable some of these? I'm sort of thinking like in the Windows/DOS world where you have to limit things that load in the system tray.
2. Is there an app that I can use that just displays a few big icons for the few games my kids play? Is this what AtEase does? Can that be installed on a stand-alone mac, or does it require a central server? Are there any other freeware or shareware apps that can give me a simple menu or icon system that a 3 year old can work with?
3. Are there any updates that I need to install on this machine?
4. Sometimes the keyboard doesn't work at all. The mouse works fine so it can't be a connection issue, right? how can get the kb working?
Thanks.
