I have a 68 pin Western Digital 18.3 GB HD that I am trying to install
in my 8600. I just received a 68 pin to 50 oin adapter that I used to
make the connection. But, I can't get either ASP, Express Pro Tools, or
Hard Disk Speed tools to detect the drive. I have booted in both OS X
and OS 9.1. Neither will detect it.
The adapter I used is a straight plug adapter. No pins or power plugs
or anything like that on it. Is there something else I need to do to
get this drive to work? Will it work at all?
