Beige g3's regularly go for around $70 nowadays. They are better due to the
better bus/cache, they take SDRAM (cheap and widely available), and can take
SCSI or IDE drives, unlike the 7300. If you have a 7300 and find a g3 card
cheap enough, it's worth upgrading. If you have nothing, go for the g3. In
fact, I see All In One Beige G3's going for around $140 at the moment. The
next step, the B+W g3, are going for around $300-$400, an incredible deal,
especially if you are going to wait awhile for Apple to work out the kinks
in Panther and stick with OS9 for awhile.
