Our local boys have been good at clearing clogged inktanks. Simplest is to
place the tanks upright on tissue impregnated with iso-propyl or ethly
alcohol. If that doesn't do it dip the cartridge in a pan of just boiled
tap water (distilled if you prefer) enough to cover the heads long enough
until the ink leaches out. Their last resort is to use a dental ultrasound
cleaner that tackles the problem 99% of the time. The last method has
spawned a local industry of recycling ink tanks, and won for the originator
an environmental certification.
