Hi Phil,

You don't have to disable to internal port. Nor do I think it is easy or possible to disable the internal port.

To add gigabit ethernet you need to add a gigabit ethernet card. They are quite spendy and available through the regular channels, MacWarehouse, CDW, MacMall, etc ... have them.

I assume there are some with Mac OS 9 drivers.

Question:

How do I put in a Gigabit Ethernet card into a 7300, and disable the internal ethernet port?

Can anyone "been there, done that" please share their experience?

Thanks

Phil
