Yes, although Apple recommends no more than 2 monitors in their Owner Manuals.
Don't know why, it is just the recommendation that I read in several manuals. (I
run twin 20" Apple Multiscans via PCI video cards and don't have anything
connected to the 4 Meg of built in VRAM on my main workstation 8600/G3.)

The Monitors control panel will open showing all of the monitors and allows
standard locating of the monitors, selection for the menu bar, screen resolutions
and numbers of colors. You also still have the choice of mirroring if you wish.

BTW: I've heard that a TV can be used as an additional monitor, connecting it via
the RCA video out on an 8600. Anyone able to tell me how to make it display? Do
you need a TV that can access the non - standard channels? My PB 1400 uses The
VL1 channel via an Apple Presentation System on the big screen in my classroom. I
can't find that channel on the 19" by my desk, which may mean it isn't available
on that TV. The big screen has an RCA video input as well as cable connector,
while my 19" only has the cable connector. I connect via the video in on a VCR and
then into the 19". I can use the video out from the VCR to see the TV on my
monitors, but not the other way around.
