> I was looking at a used G4/400 at my local Apple store today.
>I explained to the salesman that I was looking for something to get
>me started. I don't have $1000 to drop on a computer right now. I
>plan on buying a low end used G4 and building on it over time. He
>told me that the CPU in a G4/400 can't be upgraded. Is that true? I
>was hoping to get one that I can max out with RAM and eventually get
>a 700 or 800 Mhz CPU to put in it. Can someone please set me
>straight before I make a mistake?

-- That doesn't make any since what so ever to me.. If you look on the
LEM site at the G4/400, there are clearly many upgrade options avail for

list and contributer's to the site) or the clerk at the store is mis
