I know the theory is that USB 2 works in OSX. I have a generic 5 port OHCI
USB 2 card in my beige running 10.2.8 that works fine as a USB 1 card with
a mouse, printer and a camera.
Is there any way short of buying a USB 2 peripheral and plugging it in to
see if the card supports USB 2 on my Mac?
Thanks, Len
If you go under Apple System Profile, click on the USB tab, and USB High-Speed Bus is listed there then you have USB 2.0. If not, then you only have 1.1. It isn't a theory that USB 2.0 works in OSX, it is proven. The odds are that since you have a generic OHCI USB 2.0 card, Mac OS X will tell you that you have 2.0.
