Thanks to all of you Listers who responded to my inquiry regarding my G3/300 MiniTower. I've seemed to have opened up a can of worms here. Apparently, though, the long and the short of it is that my PCI ATA 133 card and 7200 rpm IDE hard drive should work with no modifications. This is definitely a good thing. I've learned more about SCSI in the last four months than I ever wanted to know! I'll give the ATA card a try and let you know how it works.

P.S. ASP tells me that my ROM is $77D.40F2 which is, according to LEM PowerMac listing a Rev. 1 ROM.
