You are correct .... if you are going to listen to Apple. But where's the
fun in that?

XPostFacto does support Panther on several systems including my 8600. You
do need a G3/G4 card and a video card.

The problem I was having seems to have been with XPostFacto, not Panther. I
have completed the installation and it works, but there a couple of issues.
I expect each of them will eventually be resolved.
