Hi......David, you've made several good points and I'm somewhat of a
hypocrite. I "force-feed" older Macs and Clones with OS 9.2.2 (via OS9
Helper) all the time. I have a 6100/G3-250-w/136mb RAM running quite
reliably w/ 9.2.2. My bugaboo is ANY pre-mutation of OS X BEFORE 10.3!!! I
personally think they all sucked!! I'm sure I'll catch MAJOR flack for
saying it....but *Pre-Panther* OS X was a basically worthless pile of
Garbage!! And don't get me started about Safari!!! So.....in summation, what
I was saying was: pre-Panther OS X was'nt all that great on Macs that were
designed to use it.....and using a "hack" to run it on older Macs is asking
for bugs and glitches as far as the eye can see! Rant Over! Mikie
