Hi......Bruce, I have a simple question. If 10.2.8 was good why is there a

Um. because OS'es evolve...There's a new Corvette coming out next year...does that automatically mean that the current model is crap?
Hey, it's been 40 years since the introduction of the 1964 Corvette Coupe: <http://www.seriouswheels.com/images/ a_1964_Chevrolet_Corvette_coupe_2.jpg> does that mean it really REALLY sucks?
Panther *is* faster but it's feel is largely similar, IMO. It's more like the difference between OS 8.1 and OS 8.6, or maybe 8.6 and 9.0, whereas the difference between 10.1 and 10.2 was like the difference between OS 6 and OS 7...
There are LOTS of good features that are new, but mostly it's a 'polishing and tuning' release.
Expose kicks a**, then stomps all over it repeatedly. It took me about 3 seconds to decide that it was a 'can't live without it' feature.
The ability to print to Windows shared printers rocks in my book (though that worked with the simple installation of Gimp-print in 10.2, and lo and behold, that's *exactly* how Apple did it in Panther ;-) because it make my life here so much easier in a heterogeneous environment.
Under the hood there were considerable tweaks from 10.2, but you make it sound like 10.2 was a Chevette and 10.3 is a Corvette.
