Same goes for Movies and Music (you can even play them in the Finder). Most text files show up but are pretty small and unscrollable. Besides, you'll probably have a text editor open so you can just double-click.
Most of what I saved were text files, serial numbers, special sigs for various groups. It was always so handy to pull up and add an odd item or two to the scrapbook in case I needed it later.
As for the general usablity of the old Scrapbook, there's probably a shareware app out there that does it, check versiontracker, etc.
I'll do a little snooping and see what I can dig up. Sure wish OSX had kept some of the features of 9. It's so much easier to drop something you don't use rather than have to hunt up a replacement.
