Hello All, I'm trying to get the proper name for a part I need to get a Jaz Drive (a later V2000S, 2 Gig model) hooked up to my 9600 box. When I got the drive off of ePay, it came with a connecting cable that seems to be 50-pin to 50-pin. Is there an adapter of some kind that I would plug the cable into so that I can, in turn, plug it into my SCSI port? Or do I need a whole new cable?
<weeps bitterly> (Tips from a Pro: when you get something from ePay, try it out right away rather than letting it molder in a corner for months until you *really need it* only to discover that all the necessary bits are not entirely present and correct. I know that no one else on this list has ever done such a thing, but I just thought I'd mention it.) I would be grateful for any information that anyone could give regarding the part I need. I plan to go to the swap list for this, but I'd also gladly accept nominations for any cheap, reliable (and cheap) vendors that anyone on the list could suggest. Meanwhile, I'll borrow (read: steal) someone else's sig line: -- James <holding up forehead as a clue-brick target...> (with many thanks to Joshua Y. for the appropriate closing line) -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
