Is it bad to plug or unplug the keyboard while the machine is running?
The reason I ask is, I have two Macs I would like to share a keyboard if
possible. I want to share a keyboard between a 7600 and an 8100.
Thanks
Tom

While probably not recommended because of possible shorts or maybe even static damage I have done this many times with no ill effects.

But now I have a KVM switch to make do this safely.

On the swap list another keyboard and mouse can be had for about $ 10 plus shipping. And a KVM with cables for maybe $ 25

Either would be a good investment in the long run.
