yes. In both our regular bank and our credit card banks.

The banks are in bed with MS, so they're using the latest server libraries (scritps etc). Those libraries do spurious proprietary checks to see what browser you're running. They also, because they're MS-based servers, use a "fast http" mode to talk to the client browser (an abortion of the fundamental protocols). Only the latest versions of Explorer on the PC support this new fast http mode.
In some cases, Opera or iCab are able to talk to these sites. Reportedly, a hacked Safari (to make it report itself as Explorer) sometimes works.
In other cases, contacting the bank and convincing them to fix their code works.
Alternatively, bank elsewhere or get a PC.
I went back to using MSIE 5.1.6 with my bank and do not have any problems. Don't know what they did to 5.1.7 but most secure sites with maximum encryption don't like it.
