I'm new to the list. I just bought a "Legacy PowerMac" 9600/300. My question involves an SVGA monitor adaptor. I want to drive a 19" VGA monitor at something better than 640x480! A video upgrade card is needed, but which one? What Mac monitor adaptor will give me larger SVGA resolutions?

Unless it was changed the Twin Turbo graphics card in your machine should I think be capable of up to 1280 X 1024 ( at 75 MHz ) or nearly so.

If you don't see that figure in the Monitor control panel you'll need to add some drivers. They may be stored somewhere else in the system folder It's been a long time since I looked . And I forget the site name but you can go online for a Twin Turbo control panel upgrade.
