Do you have the test procedure used to find out if their is a modem plugged in the computer?
Bill Neill.
No, I don't even have the computer present at this moment - which of course is sad and downright impossible, I will have to gather all the needed files and then travel 10 miles to check how to install it, and then if it ends up not working, travel the 10 miles back home and try to figure out why. - If the modem works one should be able to hear the dialling tones, NO ? I will also try to bring with me another modem that I know dialled up on a similair machine. What I have is a copy of the systemfiles that are installed, in order to make an easy backup cd, computer, so I needs to know which file are essential for the set up. and I can bring those and other suggestion on a cd. (my friend was so anxious to get started so he came here, passing by, and got the machine itself out of my hands before I was done...I also tried several lists locally trying to find a used 56 k, but no luck.)
