I notice that there are several places I have QT plugins (not all aliases
either).

When I was new to Macs and upgraded to QT 4 I had a lot of trouble with plug ins and making things work.

When you make an installation upgrade like this it's a good idea to deactivate your present version first with brackets in the name . Or as one lister suggested changing the color label if every thing is in a folder for later identification and deletion.

I suggest you do a search and find the version of all the plug ins. Delete the ones that are out of place or from previous versions.

Version 6.02 has been behaving well for me . I had Java problems with older QT versions and Netscape 4.7x never recognized the QT plug -in
no matter what I did in the applications prefs.
