Interesting point about the HDs and it reminds me to upgrade to faster
drives (mine are all the slowish 7200 or thereabouts). But I am not
convinced about your advice on Ram I'm afraid. The About my computer is just
not reliable. It shows superficial data. You need lots because Ram does not
really become available for sure when quitting apps. Often it remains tied
up (yes, a fault in Mac OS - at least in 9.04 back). I say, view "Largest
Unused Block  with suspicion. It is very cheap, Ram and it is a false
economy to do with less (don't go to a couple of bad movies and get some Ram
instead)...

BTW, does 9.2.2 have better memory management?
