[PCI] Digital camera question

 I'm running a 8600/300 av os 8.6. Are there limitations in which 
digital camera that will work with this system? A lot of
cameras i looked at say they are supported by osx, but don't mention os 
8.6. I'm looking to get a good 2 or 3mb camera.
