Oh man, I have been through this hell... What I got to work for me was to burn CD's in iso9660 format on the PC, and make sure you have downloaded a MacBinary or BinHex version of the files to transfer. I would also update to System 7.5.5 or 7.6, since they are free; The reason is the PC transfer stuff works much better in 7.5 and later than it ever did before 7.5. Now that I think of it, I don't know what 7.3 is..??? I successfully got Stuffit on my 7200/120 this way originally. Now, I have configured an external hard disk with all this stuff in a 640 Mb partition, then connected it to the PC, and used Nero to create a hybrid CD with the Mac partition (none of my Macs has a CD-RW in them... yet). > THe other thing is that the 7200 is minus a hard drive. The problem is Apple's utility will only format drives they ship - i.e. from Apple. So, if you purchase a 3rd party utility that contains a driver as part of the software, the drive will work fine. I use FWB Hard Disk Toolkit, and so far its been working fine. They have a lite version that will work for something like $40 if I recall (the full version is $90). Other people use other utilities. If you want to stick to Apple's utility, then you'll have to purchase a drive that originally came from them. --> Russ -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
