Drew,
I have an ORiNOCO PCI Wi-Fi adapter that I bought off of ebay to use with my SILVER PCMCIA card but I have not been successful in trying to get it to work. I have tried a variety of drivers including Apple's AirPort software and I still cannot get the computer to recognize the card. The closest I've gotten is with the MacWireless software. It seems to recognize the card and the link light on the card activates but the computer freezes once I get to the desktop. I have tried using conflict catcher to see if it is an extension conflict but I have not been able to peg it down. I'm running OS 9.2.2 on a PowerCenter 150 clone.

This might sound obvious, but have you tried the _ORiNOCO_ drivers? You mention a bunch of 3rd party drivers, and it's not surprising that none of them worked. You can get them here:
<ftp://ftp.orinocowireless.com/pub/software/ORiNOCO/PC_Card/MacOS/ORiNOCO_v7.2.smi.hqx>

I know that one version of the PCI card is incompatible with the ORiNOCO drivers (according to the source - Proxim. For those that don't know, Proxim owns the ORiNOCO brand). It could be that you have this card. I'm concerned that the one I bought is the one that's incompatible. I guess I'll find out shortly. My card was shipped last night.

Peace,
Drew
