I'll transfer from the 9600 (gawd, will this bring the gremlins in to roost in the B&W??).
Take steps to ensure the gremlins don't migrate... Clean OS install on a freshly reformatted HD. Clean installs of your apps. Leave the MS apps out until you know everything is stable. Retain only your docs from the old machine...
