However, one of my co-workers reminded me of something yesterday. He got rid of much of the more annoying spam by just trashing HTML mails as they came in.
Now this isn't a solution of Uncle Roger insists on sending you email missives written in html so he can have the flashing headlines and animated gifs, but if you don't routinely get important e-mail in that format, that's one way to go if your mail filters support it.
It's +/- workable if you first whitelist the people in your address book, your mailing lists, and your subscriptions.
