Yes, I tend to forget to look at help files too! It is a funny thing this, I
suppose because of confusing and therefore aversing prior experiences. But
in fact, in many programs, specific and useful info is there. But if you
want to make the help files in any program more useful, it is best to try a
bit to work things out for yourself beforehand. For example, under tools try
to set a filter and test it by sending a message to yourself and see if it
does what you expected. Take a look at the different options etc and so on.
Then, when you do go to the help files, they seem much more of an
eye-opener.

PS. Dan's info suggests that OE causes trouble on Macs. I have had various
trouble on Macs over the years, who hasn't? But I have no evidence that OE
caused it. But maybe it did. It is a niggling thought. He looks at
diagnostic data on trouble and maybe there is trouble. I'll wait till I have
trouble before making any further decisions...

PS2. Hey Bruce! The other day I needed to use MS Office (briefly, honestly)
and there is a sort of paperclip equivalent on the Mac version of 2001, it
has a little SE on legs, happy and all, swaying and approachable. I asked it
questions and it was very obliging...
