If you just jerked it out of one machine in which it was the "Primary" 
drive and then stuck it in another in which it was a "Secondary" drive, 
you will need to change the SCSI ID number. The "main" SCSI drive in a 
Mac is "0" and each drive must have a different number. There are pins on 
the drive to change the ID. You place a little jumper on the pins. 
Sometimes the block of pins is labled, sometimes it even will say SCSI or 
ID. Sometimes it is a bit more obscure and labeled with something like 
J21. You can go to the manufacturer's website and find the location of 
the block that corresponds to your drive.
