OS 9.2.1 and .2 are bug fixes, performance improvements, and some wedges to make Classic work better with OS X. No big new functionality.


The application menu will tear-off in OS 9.1. I think there's some shareware to do that to some of the other menus; not sure.

If you want pretty interface stuff, check out Kaleidoscope. It has so many desktop schemes, you can really really get lost!

iLife is ... mostly an OS X thing. And even then its apps run like crap on older/slower Macs.

There's an ancient version of iTunes available for OS 9. It's nice for the streaming audio, but it's such a CPU pig for just playing mp3s and such I recommend SoundApp instead.

I vaguely recall there may be an ancient version of iMovie available. Ditto for iPhoto. Maybe someone else has the specifics?
