All versions of OS 9xx look the same as far as I know. There are themes you can download and add to OS 9.1 which are nice. I have a theme on mine called "Liquid" which is Aqua like. They are easy to install, just copy to the appearance folder in your system folder. You can select the new theme through your Appearances control panel.

Tons of shareware Apps that add functionality to OS 9.1 Check Tucows.com, MacUpdate.com, VersionTracker.com, etc... for shareware and freeware apps. > > If you want pretty interface stuff, check out Kaleidoscope. There is a web site dedicated to transforming OS 9 to look like OSX with The dock and all the icons. If you do a google search for "aqua look" or "aqua feel" you should find it. I would add the link, but I didn't save the bookmark on this computer. The dock shareware app is "A-Dock" and it's a nice movable dock that you can add alias's to. > > iLife is ... mostly an OS X thing. The 2 version runs pretty good if you have a G3 or better, but I have run it on a PPC 604e with lots of RAM. The first iTuunes does not have the visuals and equalizer if I remember correctly. I use the second version and it runs fine on a Sonett 300 G3 with 400MB RAM. There is also a hack to get the first iTunes apps to run on OS 8.6 available on-line, but I prefer SoundJam for OS 8.6. There is another app to check out called SoundJam, which was purchased by Apple and turned into iTunes. It will run on slower PPC's and has the visual effects also. You can get demo's of SoundJam an the MacAddict CD's and probably on-line also. > > I vaguely recall there may be an ancient version of iMovie available. > Ditto for iPhoto. Maybe someone else has the specifics? Yes, there is an early iMovie (2.0 maybe) app which works on OS 9.1, but it's not on Apple's site for some reason. It came with the last iMacs and iBooks that had OS 9xx. I have used it with OS 9.1 and it works pretty well and you can find the CD's pretty cheap. No iPhoto until OS X though.
