Well, my "Cooking-Database" contains around 12.000 recipes collected in
around 45 yrs. Use several appl. For details mail me OffList.
Cooking programs: Connect the 5400/180 to TV/cable and watch your local
TV-guide. For saving: Use your Mac or better a VCR (I still use a Betamax
for this).
Or use these instruction-CD's which come with magazines, store-offers etc.
Alarm: I still use FM EggTimer + a sticky. Free and even scriptable.
Recipes programs: Google!
Give you an example: Just got a fresh-shooten hare from a friend. Preparing
hares for already 40 yrs. but being still curious about something new I
start typing in Google: "hare recipe". Try and see! What do you need more on
your kitchen-Mac?

HTH,

Jo
