Adrian,

I am the original poster of this topic and it doesn't matter what brand of
modem will get me faster speeds. If I have to buy a new one I will. I do not
want to change the computer though (5400/180 AIO).

When I mentioned the Best Data 56k that was just for FYI. If anyone can tell
me something else that will compare to the daily (and I mean daily) 47,333
speeds of the iMac 6 blocks away than please do.

I am at my wits end with this.

Thanks,

MaxTek

How about a little experiment ? Does the iMac use the same browser ?
Use the same cache settings and anything else you can to make a fair
and equal comparison. Go to the start page first and then enter a
bookmarked URL Time the page load with a stop watch from when you
select the bookmark to when the throbber settles and the browser says
it is done.

Then do the same with your 5400 setup. Again do everything you can to
cache settings etc to eliminate as many variables as you can.
Load the start page and then select the URL for the same bookmark.
Time it again in the same way.

I would be interesting to see how big of a difference in loading time
there actually is.
