You are completely right!
BUT it's a 10BASE-T connection and that's why I suggested to put in a
10BASE-100 PCI-card (and not a Comm. II !) yesterday. I believe it's worth
the costs (� US$/Euro 15 !).
IMHO: In case of transferring 12 GB once from a 6500 to an iMac, using
ethernet (in any way) is the only clever way. All other solutions are more
expensive and more complex.
