I know and even <http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/index.html> says so! At the other hand: Mactracker and AppleSpec 1/2003 says standard. Besides that: 9 of my customers had/have one of the 4 different 6500's. All came with ethernet. To get sure I checked the Apple ServiceManual and Devell.Notes and that cleared the difference concerning ethernet: Roughly seen: All 6500 are sold with ethernet optional, except: The 6500/250/275/300 for the education market in "the Americas" (sic) and most of the markets in Western-Europe (where I live). So far the controversial part of the question! To go back to Michael F. Simon's original question (and indeed he has no ethernet): "I am currently using a 6500 with a G3 upgrade, 128MB RAM, and a SCSI hard drive, containing nearly 12GB of files (data and applications). It does not have USB, FireWire or Ethernet connectivity. I'm about to buy a 15" flat panel iMac. Will one of this lists "sages" please suggest a method to transfer my data from the SCSI drive to the iMac?", I stay with my first advise: Put in a (now dirty cheap!) PCI-fastethernetcard! You are "10 x faster" and the problem is over and out. Jo -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
