I went to the site in question and there is information on jumper settings, I had to close the contacts (2 pins) for a Powermac 7300, it is open for a B & W (as it came from one, this is how it was set and - curiously - had the effect described above) Now it works. It took 3 min and 50 secs to transfer a 390 MB of loose single MP tunes from a CD to a HD and I am timing the same task now through the built in scsi without the card... 3min 30sec! Oops, maybe I have wasted my time. I know someone who might more usefully use it on his Mac, they have no scsi... Of course! I did not look into it sufficiently.
