Hi All,

I have two computers, a 9600 running a G3/500 sonnet and a 8600 running
a G3/400 sonnet that are both having start up issues. Both are running
9.1
AT the moment I can not get the 8600 to boot. Acutally I can tell it is
booting I just have nothing on the monitor. It is as if it doesn't
reconize it. I have checked the monitor cable and the adapter and done a
cuda push but it still won't work. It was seeing the monitor before but
I was having freezing problems and a quirky restart problem, in that
sometimes it would restart/cold boot fine and other times you would get
the first short chime and then nothing. So becasue of those problems I
changed the monitor resolution in the control panels to one that was
reccommended and it was fine for one boot and it didn't freeze for 2
days then when I turned it on it had a system bomb, and now it will not
restart. Can someone please HELP! Could it be the vram? it still has on
board video. Would a video card help? or got any other suggestions?
The 9600 is fine most of the time and does well if I leave it run. If I
shut it off for any reason, I have to unplug the power from the computer
and let it sit for at least 20 minutes before I can get it to cold boot.
Anyone got any ideas about that?
Sorry this is so long, I am really getting frustrated with the problems
and was hoping someone could help.

Thanks,
Pam
