I never realized they were uncommon! I bought mine almost 2 years ago from amazon.com 
for, IIRC, $141. They were selling it at that price for a long time.

I had lots of trouble in the beginning when I tried using it with the Sonnet 
extension. Then I downloaded and installed PowerLogix' G3/G4 Cache Profiler, the 
latest version of which is called CPU Director. The CPU Director package, like its 
predecessor, includes an init that turns on the L2 cache when the computer starts up 
and an application that lets you change lots of settings.

This all refers to running under OS 9.x, but there's a version that runs under OS X.
