After my last post which acknowledged the promise of your suggestion, I had occasion to look at this: I spooled a multi page doc off to the printer and it printed a page but ran out of paper. But I did not want the doc printed in the form I sent (having seen the first page I wanted to change it). I saw nothing in the Print Monitor Documents and the item had left the desktop printer window too. I stopped the print queue because it was the only hope left. I then filled tray with more and put tray back in printer. The printer printed what it had been spooled before (and for good measure started from page 1 again!). So it seems that once it is spooled to my laser, it is out of reach of real computer control? Either I have hardware/software probs or this is a genuine fault that has been overlooked in the design of the printing system? If anyone has any ideas?
