Hi all, I wrote to the list a few days ago and several of you replied. I have done all of what you all suggested and I am now back to a blinking ? floppy icon at boot up... It will boot from TechTools 3.0.6 (which has been the greatest $80 investment I ever made BTW!). It will also boot from the OS CD, but freezes if I try to reinstall.
To remind, I have a 9600/300/G3 running 9.1. I was able to get it back from the last blinking ? and even went online, opened OE and sent some pictures before it locked up!
