That's probably true. I've just had so many financial crisis's lately, I can't afford the small price for QTPro, and for my purposes at the moment, QT 2.5.1 plus the 3ivx D4 ext. really helps. > What exactly do *you* do when you have a TV or VCR tape linked to your 7600? Just to be clear, in case it matters, I have a 7500 with an 8500 mother board. > Earlier I described how I struggle along. You capture a clip with AVP. You > have the clip in a file staring at you. You then do exactly what with that > file? First, be sure you've dropped the 3ivx D4 ext. into the QT extensions folder in the Extensions folder and, of course, restart. Then start whatever QT with editing capabilities you have and open the AVP (or Simple Text at this point) movie with the QT application. After editing, choose Export in the File menu. In the dialog box that comes up, choose 'movie to QT movie', then press the options button. In the 'Movie Settings Box', press 'Settings'. In the 'Compression Settings' box, pick the 3ivx D4 choice in the pull down menu. Beyond that, you'll have to experiment or pick 'Default' for compression options. I don't know enough about it. > I think, unless you care to stop me, I will just go all wild like and get QT > Pro and see what I can do with that. By all means, GO WILD!!!
