The 8600 to /233 ("Kansas" ?) and the 8600 /250 and over ("Mach 5") are 
identical "raw" boards.

Identical "raw" boards and identical physical and power interfaces, 
obviously.

Generally, I recommend going with a lower speed 8600/9600, as these are 
much more forgiving with G3/G4 upgrades.

A /200 is my usual recommendation for upgrades.
