You can install up to OS 10.1.5 on a 604e/200MHz processor.

You should add more RAM, I don't recall the minimum RAM requirement. I used a
7300/200 with 512 MB RAM on an off for a year or so and enjoyed the
experience. I had a dial-up connection at the time. It may not be as enjoyable
if you
are used to the speed of a broadband connection.

System speed is a relative to what you are used to. In my case the speed was
acceptable. I enjoyed web surfing and just playing around with it. However, I
don't think you can run Safari and the latest version of iTunes on OS 10.1.5
-- too bad.

You will need XpostFacto:
http://eshop.macsales.com/OSXCenter/XPostFacto/

Be sure to follow all the XpostFacto documentation for installing OS X.

And while your at the OWC site check out their 128 MB RAM DIMMSs for $16 each
and OS X 10.1 install disk for $5. Once you have 10.1 installed you can then
download a free upgrade to 10.1.5 from the Apple download site

If you don't mind spending around $55-60 dollars and a lot of time it could
be a fun project.

Or just save the money toward the purchase of a newer Mac. Good luck -- glen.
