It is one of the few browsers that actually work quite well on small RAM allocations, it is one of its boasts and reasons... But it is badly flawed in css implementation and will not work well for various form submissions on ebay and internet banking no matter what you tell it to present as... Yes, many keep on coming back to IE because in many ways it is a good browser for reasons I have argued before (distinct from the issue of web designers "writing to it"). I have been using "Mozilla 1.3 copyright 1998-2003 The Mozilla Organization" and it works nicely up to a point but I suspect it too of causing trouble on my machine... More RAM on your machine, more RAM allocated in memory to IE, clear the cache regularly, give it a good sized cache (50MB or so), even clear it manually by grabbing it and throwing it out (I do not fully trust the "clear cache now" button in preferences/advance). David Elmo (just a little anecdote: there was a tiny flaw in some code on a page of mine recently, (<td with missing end tag) The Mac IE just ignored it, politely not mentioning anything and displaying the content perfectly. Modern Windows browsers IE6, the Mac Safari and many others were stopped cold in their tracks. That IE was able to do this is an example of its great supple strength, an engineering marvel, a tall thick forgiving tree that bends in gales and springs back... now I better stop provoking you all I guess...) -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
