The 52xx is the same form factor and putting a 54/5500 or 64/6500 board into a 52xx will work. The 52xx series has no PCI slots if I remember and there may be a voltage problem using a PCI card on a swapped logic board in the 52xx Macs. The 6500 backplate (metal) will not fit anything but a 6400 or 6500. If your putting a board into a 52xx just use the OEM backplate from the 52xx on the 6500 board or any 54/5500 backplate will work also. The plastic rear covers will fit over any board with the correct backplate. The best place to find them is on LEM's Swaplist. You can usually find a 5500/225 board for about $10.00 + shipping. I have found 5500's locally cheap but they are hard to find anymore, most were public school rejects.
