---It seems like a dilema. If i tell the cable company here I want them to come hook me up and see I have a Mac, then what? Tell what the hook up "procedure" is. Many thanks>david
For starters call them and talk about it. Besides a Mac is a "Personal Computer".
For a single computer with OS 9 or later (and likely earlier OSs too) and a built in Ethernet (any recent model) you just plug it in usually. DHCP does the rest. If you are not sure you might want to line up a Mac expert to help you out. You could just get the cable installed and see if it works. If it doesn't then call in the expert to get it working.
