Barebones are not supporting BBEdit now, they have a replacement. Not sure you can get it. Ken is right, you will be able often to get the text. But formatting is lost and there will be many many odd characters showing up wrong or missing or added even within the text. It is a fallback I guess, but you will get frustrated. MacLink plus can do a good job, but you need to get it. There is no really really good alternative to getting MS Office. You can get this on eBay for modest amounts, you mostly don't need the latest version and any version is better than the alternatives. If you are in business or for serious work, I strongly recommend this action Larry... BTW, we talking 9x or OS X here? I'm talking 9 or less.
