Thanks, with a bit of leverage I got it out, I was just a little cautious in
case there was an additional attachment. 

But now I have a different problem :(

Whilst adjusting the geometry (case open) it crashed with a fatal error and
froze. I reset and now the screen now only shows a big black and white
checkerboard pattern. 
This looks bad, I think it's dead, recycling the power has no effect.

Any ideas??
