etah 18LP 9.1GB SCSI on eBay for $44 shipped. The adapters (2) cost $14.25 shipped and I didn't dither, just bought the first one I could find that wasn't overpriced.

Not to argue your solution isn't good. Just that $200 is ridiculous if you want to spend a little time searching ebay.

I've avoided ebay so far as I really wanted something that I could trust as new/unused, like the stuff OWC used to have. $200 is pretty silly alright, and that's 36gigs, the cheapest. An IDE controller and 200gig IDE drive could add up less, just barely.

I'm really looking hard for compatible/cheap ATA solutions, if anyone has a favorite model or source. ATA/66 should be old enough to be cheap but I've not found any that I know for certain will work, yet.
